I make art because I love it. I love to share moments of inspiration and feeling to others. It's an autonomous process from choosing subject matter to signing the work. Painting takes me on a journey, very rarely can I image exactly what my artwork will look like once completed. I start with a loose idea, a feeling and I let the process take the wheel. Moments in nature that have an air of magic or fantasy truly inspire me. Occasions when as a child you would imagine fairies, pixies and mermaids living in the landscape. When the sunlight is filtered through mist, when the golden light of a summer afternoon creates a radiant glow, moments at dusk and dawn as the sky is a rainbow of colour, water is still as a mirror or oceans crashing and calm.
